We got a nice surprise as the sunset today. After a fun badminton match we took a final walk up the hill. There's a footpath that we rarely take, which goes to an open meadow, which is currently full of wildflowers.
It's a good place to get a view from as it opens up, compared to the neighboring woodland. As we were stood chatting and reviewing the day, the distant mountainside, suddenly became bathed in orange light.
A pheasant wandered over to stand with us and together, we silently enjoyed watching the colours change and move across the mountainside. A magic alpine moment.
