Another day and another new bike ride to explore. This little circuit was short and steep - factors which in previous times would have never even put it on the 'bike ride options' agenda. But in these times of limited outdoor exercise, the combination seemed just right.
Up the hill behind The Cottage led us to a fabulous downhill freewheel down Fach Wen hill to the northern edge of the lake. As luck would have it, the strong winds were at our backs to help us on the return leg.
It's been freakishly hot today and I rode in shorts having enjoyed some time lying on a blanket in The Cottage garden, reading in the sun. It was just over twenty degrees and the wind, although strong, was very warm.
