Been over in Derbyshire today at the Head Offices of the Outdoor Companies, Lowe Alpine and Rab, as part of my role in the Association of Mountaineering Instructors Test Team. It was an early start from North Wales and late by the time we got back, but it was a really constructive and interesting day, so well worth the effort. After some introductions about the partnership and future plans in the 'Rab Room', we got shown some of the new kit and equipment that has been designed for next season.
There was lots to look and it all looked good. We're all looking forward to testing it out in it's intended environments soon.
In the Lowe Alpine Room, we were given a presentation on the history and vision of the company as well as getting introduced to the latest designs.
Meetings were also had with the designers, materials manager and various others who form the whole team. We had to give feedback on current designs and requests for certain products. Exciting times and amazing to be able to be inputting our thoughts and opinions. Lots to learn and more testing to come...
