In the mist on Moel y Ci

Intentions of going scrambling on Tryfan were soon thwarted after opening the back door. We didn't even get as far as the car! A fine mist of drizzle had arrived early. After a short period of indecision, we pulled on a jacket and went up the hill to walk up Moel y Ci before the worst of the weather arrived.

The conditions deteriorated as we walked, but it felt refreshing to be out and moving after the previous days of travel and meetings.

The view from the summit is one of my favourite around here - even when said view is rapidly vanishing!

It was actually rather cold out. The winds had temporarily swung around to the North, providing a decent windchill as we breathed in the fresh air, so we didn't hang around too long on top.

It was the kind of afternoon that warranted the fire being lit and The Cottage making cosy, while we tried to get some jobs done online. Before the daylight faded, we took a short walk through Yr Occa and spent a while watching a Heron. Such a great bird and a real treat to see so close up.

The leaves were raining down as we watched and walked our way through the woods. Good colours.
