Little & North Gully, Tryfan

Ahhhhh! Blue skies, light winds, a few patches of snow and a great group of students to take scrambling. Was in my element today!

We actually started out with a brief bit of mountain skills theory in the climber's cafe, over a pot of tea before setting out in earnest up Tryfan. From the A5 we took the path directly up to the North Ridge, before moving around to the sunny East face. Here we located and then climbed Little Gully, which led us nicely into North Gully, via a short variant that finished directly on the summit rocks of Adam & Eve.

It was windier on top, so I jumped between the two rocks as a 'safety check'. During a brief lull in the wind, two brave students also made the leap, much to their delight.

As we were sat on to, two F15 flighter jets roared past below us in a deafening fly-by, which was quite a sight to see and hear.

Descended down the west face, after a good rest on the top, soaking up the views, to give a 'up and over' trip on the mountain. Nice to be out in the sunshine...
