Return to The Cottage

The Savoy Hotel breakfasting experience took on a whole new level today, as after the usual culinary delights, I washed it all down with a decent slice of carrot cake and an extra coffee.

Luckily we didn't have to move far afterward, so after checking out of the room, we got some work done by the swimming pool. I did manage to take a quick dip too.

Just after 13:00, a taxi arrived to take us the short drive back to the Airport.

And just over an hour later we were crossing the tarmac and boarding the plane. The whole thing was so smooth...

Before we knew it, we were back in the sky and waving our goodbyes to the island.

By 17:30, we were back at The Cottage in a somewhat different climate. The rain gauge had 80mm of rain (more than had fallen all summer!), in it and our friends said that the rivers had been in spate for the past three days! Nice timing and an incredible way to see out my thirties! That was some celebration. Long may the adventures continue!...
