Climbing at Castle Thermisia

There's never any rush to get out in the mornings around here!

The usual morning routine of swim and breakfasting by the water is not one to be rushed!

Once again, it was afternoon by the time we got out and about - back to to Castle Thermisia and this time with a much better idea of how to get to the climbing area!

The temperatures were lovely and the rock was warm. The routes were short and steep!

And with great views...

Some of the rock was a little loose, but the routes were well bolted and there were some cool lay-backing moves up the corner cracks.

We stayed up on top after climbing four routes to enjoy the sunset panorama...

On the drive back down the hill, the road was blocked by boulders that had fallen off the embankments and rolled into the road!

Castle Thermisia Climbs:
- Pinnicle Crack, 5a*
- Bonbastic, 6a**
- In the red corner. 6a**
- The Leading Edge, 7a (TR)
