Of No Fixed Abode...

With all commitments and speeches all done and dusted, I packed away my suit and tie and set to work on getting our outdoor equipment sorted and packed for a summer on the road. With new residents moving into The Cottage, we had a weekend to pack up our stuff and leave the place tidy. Camping and alpine gear was dragged out the stores in between hoovering and dusting sessions.

One final dip in the river to help stay alert and fresh was needed and kept us focused as the departure deadline loomed...

Then right on time, we were ready to leave Wales... With everything we'll need for the next month, neatly packed into a few panniers.

And then loaded into the van... All very exciting, if a little nerve wracking...

And then 'phase two' of the summer expedition - alpine climbing gear all packed and stashed away ready for the August season...

So, we are now of no fixed abode until September.... What will happen next and where will we get to!? A rough plan has been formulated and hopefully, in a few days we'll be in mainland Europe at the start of a cycling journey. With the keys handed over to Joise ready to move into The Cottage, we set off - first stop Fort Martin...
