Mountains and Music

It's been a crazy busy few days, fitting in all sorts of fun. Days have been starting well before sun rise, but at least I did get to enjoy some sunrise views.

At the start of 2019 I was due to see a band called Turin Brakes. The show has been rescheduled over and over again so many times, that I nearly forgot that it was on this week! After a very long, but enjoyable day, involving a lot of people and logistics, I made it home in time for a quick bite to eat before heading over to Chester to see the band. We missed the support act, but arrived with just enough time to grab a drink before they took to the stage. It's been ages since I was last at a gig (or even in a crowd of people!), but it was a lovely mellow evening watching some great musicians, playing some superb tunes - all acoustically.

I was straight back on the hill the next day, 'exploring' the Conwy Valley with a group of students who are working towards the John Muir Conservation Award. This vantage point is a brilliant place to stop and stare - even on a cold and cloudy day.
