The Ogwen Views Tour

Setting out from Ogwen Cottage, our Plan A was to make an attempt on climbing Tryfan. However, after making a good start, the students and I all decided that a better plan was going to be to take in various different views from around the valley rather than sweating our way up to the summit. It turned out to be a great choice that fitted the aim of the day of providing some incredible views.

We were soon up at Llyn Bochlewd and getting the benefits of the steep start.

From there, we traversed towards the Gribin ridge, crossing this at it's base.

The descended into Cwm Idwal after enjoying the view of the Nant Ffrancon.

A brief visit to the pier in Bangor concluded the sight seeing tour and once again we had some great chats, debate and discussions from the international group, which included students from Nigeria, Zambia, Spain and Wales. On the way home, I stopped off at the prom for a quick cool off as the tide was high. It seemed too good to pass by and I happened to have some spare short in the van...
