A change of scene and transport for today's lake exploration with a strong group of students. It's been a while since I've been out in the canoes and having been on the paddleboard so much recently, it was a refreshing change.
The wind wasn't quite doing what it was forecast, but we still managed to make a long journey down to the far end of the water, despite the wind seeming to be against us every time we turned!
The wind was fairly warm, but we were still well wrapped in big fleeces and windproof jackets, so we were surprised to see two women having a swim where we pulled over for a snack. Inspirational stuff!
Back at base, there was a bit of excitement as our delivery of new Lowe Alpine rucksacks had arrived. I'm very keen to try them out, having been part involved in the design of them last year.
