Sunsets and Seasides

Even without the influx of tourists, we decided to keep a low profile on Bank Holiday Monday. We had a nice day in The Cottage garden, tinkering with fixing things and having an attempt at 'gardening'. As the sun started to dip, we took a short hike up the hill behind the house as it was too stunning up there to miss.

Although the skies have been blue all day, the wind has changed and the temperature has dropped considerably. Jackets and hats were back on again!

Round on the sunny side of the hill, we stopped for a break and had a sundown drink, sitting on a warm rock. During the hike, we had the bonus of a little bit of human social interaction as we saw four friends. One passed us by, while out running, another couple were on bikes and another drove past as we were walking back down the hill. It was nice to see some friendly faces.

The next day, (Tuesday), we repeated the 'balcony' route on bikes, along the coast, as it had been so nice the other day.

This time, we extended it slightly, to pop down to the water's edge.

Very cold still despite the blue skies. Warmed back up though as it was uphill all the way back home from there!

23km total ride length.
