The daily routine of a slow walk around the garden continues to bring new discoveries and fresh colours.
More map examination revealed a link-up of some small back roads, that could lead us down to the coast, without passing any residential areas. We went exploring by bike.
This time the tide was high and the water was perfectly calm. The only sound was a few birds and the lapping of the water. It was good for the soul. We could see the Great Orme, but Llandudno looked underwater.
The return journey up the hill was also good for the soul, but better for the legs and lungs!
Back at The Cottage Cafe, it was too hot for anything but iced coffee and garden yoga.
As the sun started to dip, the still-ness of the evening lent itself perfectly for some badminton playing. With the garden wall as the net and some rough court marking, we had a real hoot playing until bad light stopped play.
We ate dinner outside watching squirrel silhouettes chasing up and down trees.
