To Cadiz and the Coast

Said our farewells to Ronda and set of westwards to the coast. Time passed by quickly and we were soon on the Atlantic coast looking out to sea.

We parked up at the station and set off on foot into the old city to see what we could see. There are some pretty ornate buildings to wander past.

We wove in and out of narrow street and ended up in the square in front of the cathedral.

Just past this, we re-emerged back at the sea, sat on the harbour wall and danged our legs over the edge.

On our way back through town, we stopped for a dink in the square and watched the world go by, before returning to the car.

We left town via a 3km long bridge.

Then continued south along the coast for another 40 minutes or so to the seaside town of Barbate.

We got there just before sunset and eventually found both our accommodation and, more importantly, the non-English speaking host, who had the key. The view from the apartment was great, but to be honest, that was about all it had going for it!
