Central Route (Severe), Carnedd y Filiast

The temperatures have finally dropped again here in Snowdonia. (with windchill on the summits forecast at minus two!). We nipped out first thing this morning to climb on the Atlantic Slabs, up the valley near The Cottage. Great route, great friction, but you have to hunt for gear a bit.

After climbing the lovely 'Central Route' on Red Slab, the first wave of rain showers arrived.

Decided not to continue upwards to the main slab and returned to base instead. Felt great to be out rock climbing again - it's been a while since we climbed together.
