Thick wet drizzle. 'Let's accept that we're going to get wet today and that the views are likely to be sub-par' was the opening speech to my team of hill walkers today! In actual fact, once we got around the fact that the weather wasn't going to be getting any better, we all got stuck in and had a fun day up in the hills.
We stayed off the higher mountains so that we'd be out of the worst of the weather, but even these were buried in thick mist.
My waterproofs from Rab equipment certainly got a solid testing today and I was at least completely dry once we got back to civilization.
