The lower rocks were a bit greasy still, so we opted to put on harnesses and use a 30m rope to protect ourselves. It was a good move as although it was fairly easy ground, a slip would have had serious consequences.
The clouds had lifted as we got onto the top section and the views opened up below us.
Behind us, Tryfan was now clear of the clouds and we could enjoy the view. I was wearing Rab's 'Alpha Flux' Jacket, which was great while climbing, but a bit thin for hanging around at the top.
It had been a brilliant scramble and one that I'd not done in ages. Nice to get a slightly different perspective of the valley.
We opted to walk down through the Devil's Kitchen area, so that we could see where a bridge is being built over Idwal Stream. It's not finished yet, but the stantions are in place.
