London Life - Members Only...

I went from climbing on Tryfan, to dining in Covent Garden in a mere four and a half hours on Monday! As Clare had a meeting in the city, after a last minute decision, I came along for the ride. We managed to pack a lot into our 36 hour trip, starting with a a fun meal in Wahaca with Andy and Jonelle.
Today, while Clare was at work, I’ve been hanging out on the Southbank with The Nipper and the lads. Chris sorted us out with a VIP pass to a members only bar by the river, where we spent the afternoon enjoying some fantastic views and a natter over a few drinks. Thanks Chris!

We decided it was warm enough to sit outside on the spacious terrace, but the view from the bar window was pretty spectacular too.

It was a real treat to be up with the privileged few above the chaos of the city. It was a little oasis of calm and with some of the best views around.

Having started off with a pizza lunch by Blackfriars Bridge, we had a look in the Tate Modern.

A new area had just opened in the main Turbine House area. It involved a carpet made of colourful stripes and a swinging mirror ball where visitors were encouraged to lie around a relax! There were also adult swings! Suitably bonkers and arty. (And a great space for toddlers to run around!).

Hooked back up with Clare in time for a bite to eat and before we knew it we’d been transported back to Euston Station and home to The Cottage. Whirlwind....
