On the move...

Crept out of the Mediterranean under cover of darkness this morning. Watched the sea disappear as the sun came up, then glided quietly over the mountains of the Alps as we made our way back to the UK.

On the ground in Manchester, we had to get the ice off the inside and out of the car before we could move anywhere!

After getting the car started, we drove to nearby Lymm for a walk along the canal and a lovely brunch with our friend Lou, who we'd stayed with in Australia this summer. She still lives down under, but was home visiting family, so we spent some time catching up on each others news before moving on, back to Wales...

It was a beautiful fresh day, with ice on the canal, so Lou chose the brunch pub well, getting us a fire-side table in the 'snug'.

Made it back to The Cottage before dark to find that there is a dusting of snow on the hills.

It's been a great start to the year and another big adventure is only days away! Rock on 2017, but for now, some sleep is required!....
