I've been out in the woods for the last few days with some students on a residential weekend to promote and enhance various communication skills. As part of the weekend's activities, I was running a tracking trail using some good old fashioned Scouting skills. It was a Ken Marlow timeless classic and the students loved it! There was certainly a good deal of creativity with marking the route.
We were based in the Elyw Valley and the trail we chose, had a particularly exciting section when it took us through a short limestone cave tunnel; through which we passed by candle light. The trail ended, as all good ones do, at the campfire. It's been a long, tiring, but fun weekend where we were all left smelling of wood smoke!
