Out of the mountains and into the City! We've had a jam packed long weekend of fun with family and friends down in the big smoke. Which is amazingly close by thanks to a non-stop train service from Bangor to Euston.
Hospitality was up to it's usual high standards - as was the 'De Martin' fine wines!
After a day of partying with JT and the family, we met up in St James park, where we'd heard that there are pelicans living!? And we weren't disappointed! Along with all kinds of geese, ducks, loads of red squirrels and some pretty frisky swans as well!
The gardens were looking pretty good too.
As usual, we ended up walking way too far, trying to see as many sights as possible! After seeing Buckingham Palace, we lunched in Camden market, popped into a Cuban Music festival, watched street performers from a balcony over Covent Garden, went to see a show (front row seats no less!), passed by a red carpet film premiere at Leicester Square, ate some great Mexican food near Soho, and didn't get let into a late night club!
All of this was divided up between numerous coffee shops and bars along the way between the bright lights...
Somehow, we also managed to get a session in at the park, on the swings, with JT, met Andy during his lunch break (for more coffee!) and got introduced to the fabulous 'Honest' Burger bar! All totally great fun and completely exhausting! Great days in the Capital... Now back to the mountains to recover!...
