Managed to pack a lot into today, including catching our first wave of the trip. After leaving Matt and Sho's, we headed over to Chez Jenny for a late breakfast. Once again, the hospitality was to a high standard, and having been greeted and seated in the sun room, we were then presented with a full cooked breakfast! To walk off some of the food, Jenny took us for a tour of the estate, which involved some great cliff top views just minutes from the breakfast table.
Before we left, we made sure to sign our names into the visitors book to ensure that our passing was documented in the Wallis history books. Then it was onto the beach...
We set off aiming for Sennen but a change of plan half way there saw us detouring to Gwithian. It's a wide open bay and there was just enough surf to entice us in. Luckily, we got the last spot in the car park and the beach was big enough for the surf not to be too crowded. We both got some good rides, proving once again our tried and tested theory that 'it's always worth getting in'.
Afterwards we called into the surf shop called 'Down The Line' to have a look at some surf boards. By now the sun was fully out so after we headed to nearby St Ives to find a campsite. It's pretty early into the summer season, but already places are full and the prices are simply eye wateringly expensive! But today, after such a good social and surf session, all we wanted to do was to spread out in the sun and cook up some dinner, so had no choice, but to pay up and pitch up and enjoy the evening.
