Climbing at The Dewerstone

Jenny set us up for big day with another stella breakfast after a solid sleep on Cornwall's finest sofa bed. We were heading east on the road by ten and given the good weather, decided to stop in on the Dewerstone for a quick bit of granite climbing.

Despite the crowds, we climbed three quality routes by moving fast and linking up various pitches. For speed, we traversed off the top of 'Central Groove' to reach the abseil point of 'Leviathan' which saved us loads of time and gave some great climbing!

By mid afternoon we were back on the road and after picking up some supplies took on the 303 past Stonehenge towards London.

It was late by the time we made it to Dockenfield, but not too late to enjoy a little bit of 'supper' in good style!

The Dewerstone:
- Leviathan VS (4c)***
- Colonel's ArĂȘte V.Diff**
- Central Groove HS (4b)*** (plus new route traverse to Leviathan belay!)
